Question 1994 chevy electric fan install

ok heres the deal the factory clutch fan in my truck is about to kick the bucket and i got a set of electric fans from a buddy of mine that will fit on the radiator but i dont have a temp switch for them and i dont know how/the best place to install the switch. i have already ran most of the wires from battery to install location and relays ect. but i dont know where to install the temp switch. thanks in advance.

my truck is a 1994 chevy k1500 350 4x4 z71

If you mean the switch box itself, thats just personal preference. Its up to you where you think it would look nice.

I just ran mine to a toggle switch in the cab and I leave it on all the time....or you could just run them to key hot so when u fire the truck its on.....but being in Minnesota.......the toggle switch is the simpler way...then when its 30 below out you can turn off the fan until it warms up......if you want to go with the factory fan control switch....then I would just put it in place of the one for the gauge and splice the gauge wire into it........

yeah that sounds like a plan ill just wire them to a toggle so i can turn it off like you said in winter to help with warmup thanks guys

Yes but don't toggle with the other thing in the switch box which will create some new problems to your car.After installation just check your car for every is working properly or not.Good Luck!!!!!

Use the toggle as ground not hot. Ground arcing has less wear between 2 contact points. Ever wonder why toggle switches burn out quickly?
