Default 1996 seirra brakes

I replaced front rotors on my truck. After about three months they started to pulse when I would come to a stop. I took them back, and got a new pair. Now they'er starting to pulse again. I pulled my back drums thinking that maybe the front was doing all the breaking. The back shoes look good. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks Bruce

the rotors may be getting warped due to over-tightening....

machine those,or get a new pair, and torque em in sequence to spec

Argon, Can you explain "tightening seqence and specs". The rotors on my truck tighten up when I tighten the wheels with the lug nuts. Am I missing something? Bruce

i would imagine your calipers are sticking cause increased friction and increased wear i had almost the same exact problem with mine. i changed the calipers and added brake grease to where its needed and havent had this problem since.

when you tighten a wheel..

look up the torque spec...its right at 100 ft pounds.
then go criss-cross as you tighten...the nut at 12;oo.....then one at 4;00,etc...
MOSTROTORS GET WARPED DUE TO IMPROPER TORQUE.

Dealers have torque sticks that go on the impacts...that only tighten to a set amount.
most tire stores have maroons who overtighten
