Hello all,
I recently changed out my transmission so I had to pull the transfer case. I put everything back together and now I have loose linkage. When I am driving down the road, it will just slip into neutral. I can literally move the transfer case shift lever forward and back with my finger. Before I pulled everything apart, that was not the case, the shift lever stayed put and I could not just move it with my finger. Is there something I missed when putting it back together???? 4x4 low and high both work fine, indicator lights light up ok.
I have a 1996 Silverado, 5.7 liter, 4l60e, Z71 package with a floor shift transfer case, not push button.
