I'm a new member and have a 1997 Silverado with a split-bench power seat and the passenger side rocks back and forth in the track and the driver side seems to be going the same route. I'm guessing there's a brace/s broke and from a friend of mine this seems to be a general problem for Chevy pick-ups. Can anyone furnish me with more info about disconnecting seat switches, bracing, etc? And it would be nice if I could get a cut-away diagram of the seat and it's parts. Thanks to one and all.

 

I have a '98 and haven't had or heard of any problems like that. The seat is really easy to get out of the truck just disconnect the power stuff and un-bolt it from the floor.
