I'm new just bought a 1997 2wd Silverado extrended cab short bed. It has no reverse and probably only 1st and 3rd I guess the sun thingy broke as far as I can tell I have to swap the tranny. I want to make sure I get the right one. Just not sure will the VIN# tell me what tranny it came with stock?

Ok So I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado 5.7 V8 and my power steering pressure Gasket cracked so im replacing it i got a new pump and everything but i cant find a ring shaped gasket anywhere because they dis continued the pressure switch

 

You tried matching it with the ones made for the A/C high pressure lines?
