...and I was wondering if Charger or Steve was gonna get in the first wave of newbie insults.

Welcome to the forums by the way. As for your question, uh, it seems to me that there's no outward difference between the years, but the **** holsters on ebay seem to only market 99-02, then they jump to 03-06.

Good question.

Well it's gonna depend on whether or not this thing is fleet side or step side first of all. Secondly, 03 is when the changed the Silverados to the more squared looking front end and I think they changed the tail lights as well. I believe on the GMC's, the tail lights stayed the same. Not sure on all of this though. Might be better to just call the dealer and ask what will fit what.

03 was when they made the front end all 'squinty eyed'?

Shows how much attention I paid.

As long as they are both Chevrolet and one isnt a GMC then they will fit but your harnesses that hold your bulbs wont fit in the holes provided so if you take the lights you need to get under the truck and take the harnesses from underneath also. There is also an extra bulb on the newer model lights that is a marker on the very bottom that you wouldnt have with the old harnesses. I tried this because I was gonna get some off a buddies 05 Chevy but it was stolen before we could make the trade.

like tx_cowboy said. I think its only the harnesses that are different.
