I am looking to pull some more power out of my 5.3 2wd 01 sierra any ideas

 

How much money you got to work with? For street or towing?

 

I would like to keep a low budget for now but I am not affriad to spend some money to get results. I want it mainly street but be able to also pull a trailer when need be

 

Gotta let them breathe. Probably the first thing I would do is install a good cold air induction system with some kind of K and N filter. I would then install a good exhaust system. Lots of guys here have gone to a Borla system and like it. Kinda pricey. I went to my muffler shop and had them go 3" pipe right after the Y pipe, into a Flow Master Muffler, two 2 1/2" exits into duals. Probably the cheapest thing to do for pretty good results without cracking the engine.
