Default 2002 O2 sensor

I have the 4.8 2 wheel drive 1500. The trouble light came on and my O sensor is bad.
Where is this located and how hard is it to change. I can do basic repairs but I'm no mechanic.

There are four of them actually. 1 on each exhaust manifold and 1 after each catalytic converter.

There a special O2 sensor socket you can get. Use heat if it doesnt want to budge.

If you are careful you can get them out pretty easy when the pipes are still hot from running it. Did that with my 91, but had to use long sleeves and gloves to prevent skinn from burning off.

The BEST socket to use, is a heavy(Black,1 inch wide, SNAP_ON)crows foot 6 point.. Stay clear of the Chrome deep well sockets, unless you want round off the nut.
been doing this crap for years. Let engine cool down. spray with PB blaster or Marvel oil. let stand over night. Tighten 02, than loosen. If it stops coming out. spray again than tighten back in, and wait. you may have to do this a few times. If that doesn't work. You will need heat.
The last thing you want to do is pull the threadsout of the bung on your down pipe.
Usally the threads on the 02 go bad. then retap bung.

A buddy of mine bought these little things called O2 dummies that plug up inline with the sensors and make the computer read like the O2s are good even when they are not. They are a little more expensive than O2s but you dont risk messing up the downpipe or anything!
