2003 Silverado fleetside taillights
I am LQQKING for a pair of taillights for my 2003 Silverado Fleetside truck. They can be rough. Heres the scoop. Here in NH, for state inspections, which is on your birth month every year. There are certain things such as headlight covers, taillight covers, and etc that will make my truck fail the state inspection. Asit isnot factory installed equipment. Well, i am putting taillight covers on my truck, so i have 2 options. The covers go on with 3M tape, (1)I can put them on in April after i get my truck inspected and take them off before winter, which means i'd have to replace the 3M tape every year, which isn't a biggie OR (2) i can get a ****ty set of taillights from somewhere/someone, and throw them on my truck for 1 day, and then put the taillights w/ covers back on after my inspection. I'd like to find some taillights for like $15-$20 ea, and i'd be happy, rather than $50-$60 ea., justfor 1 day a year. I haven't checked any local junkyards yet but i will if i can't come up with any. Someone on here must have some junky taillights. Thanx everyone, Jim

Not sure I just seen them sitting there I was getting recall work done and I was haveing a hard time not pulling out of there with a new truck so I was in a no spending mode
UPDATE: Well, i found a set of taillights off a 2003 Silverado. 1 has a good sized scuff mark on it but is not cracked, and the 2nd is almost perfect condition. I found them @ a local salvage yard. The scuffed one was on their website for $15.00, the other 1, was its mate on this salvaged truck, and i got the pair of them for $45.00. Now what i plan on doing is this. Since my truck will fail the state inspection because of the taillight covers, what i am going to do is, in April, when i get my truck inspected, i'll put the 2nd set of taillights on my truck. Then after, i'll put my other set of taillights with the covers back on for the summer months. Then come fall, i'llre-install the 1st set of taillights back on the truck for the winter months. I feel its better than having to remove the covers every year, and replacing the 3M tape on them, and possibly damaging the covers putting them on and taking them off so much. Thanx for your help Drew. Jim
