Heater coming on on it's own.Can have air running and heater will just start running. Can have everything and heater will come on full heat, doesen't matter if control is set on cool it will still blow hot.
This truck has standard heat with dual temp control.Air it cold when on buit the heater will take over and run for minute or so then go back to air or you can have both heat and air off and the heater will come on anyway???Whats up??
Thanks

It'll probly have to be scanned...Actuators are notorous, but usually just 1 side....
I've seen bad junction block connections...to bad a/c heads..

Make SURE it blows heat out both sides...usually,an actuator goes out on 1 side.

It really needs to be checked for codes though...

We are talking the part under the duct to the right side of the hump with the plug in right?

yes..a reddish connector..the actuator is a heart shaped motor with two 5.5 mm screws holding it in..

WARNING...DO NOT plug your new one in and "try it" without it being mounted...the motor will over-travel and be useless after that....mount it securely before plugging it in
