Iwas thinking about trading in my 2003 Ford F250 4x4 crewcab for an 08 Chev 3/4 4x4 crew cab with Duramax and Allison. I heard the2008 trucks with all the polution filters don't get very good mileage.Can some folks who have them give me some actual hand calculated data.

I currently get 10 -11 around town and 15-16 on the highway.

I have a 2006 Duramax so it will get about 1mpg better than an 08

Currently: city- 18.5
highway- 21-22

Initially: city- 16
highway- 18

Truck has 45,000 miles on it now, and I can see the mileage increasing with every tank as it gets broken in. At my dad's shop they have an 04 Chevy Duramax with almost 400,000miles on it that is still running strong and getting almost 25mpg highway. Peak mileage is at about 100,000 miles
