Default 2010 Sierra

I'm purchasing a 2010 Sierra to replace my 2002 Sierra which replaced my 1998 Silverado. Just wondering if a 2010 is going to have the same issues as the older models did (fuel pump, starter, etc.) or what other issues may crop up in the 2010.

The 2010 has a 4.8 with a 4speed automatric, 4X4 with manual transfer case.

Not much to report.. An all around reliable truck. Only reportable issue is trouble shifting the T case.

Thanks for the reply Trux. It was hard to shift on my test drive but I put that down to the cold temperature (-30*C). After I got it to shift once it seemed fine. I did wind up buying the truck from a reputable long time local dealership and also purchased an extended warranty.

I don't think you'll have any major issues with it during it's first life time (100K miles), they're pretty solid trucks! I see ball joints on allot of Yukons and Suburbans go out around 80-100K, so keep an eye on 'em. Oil pressure sensors, brake pedal sensors, purge valves, vent valves, gas caps, brakes. It's all pretty normal stuff I see go bad on Silverados. They're pretty good trucks

Maybe post up some pictures of your new ride!
