Default 2010 Silverado hesitation after start up!

Short commute to work, truck has less than 3,000 miles on it in the 8 months I've owned it. On the colder days right after it turns over it'll run very rough for about a second or 2. The other night when I started it up it ran very rough for a second like it's been doing but then dropped to nearly a stall, then kicked back up to idle. Happened again today. Truck has a K&N 57 series intake, single in dual out Flowmaster 40 series. Has ran fine until the colder days and started doing this. After it nearly stalled it's been a concern of mine. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Did it do this before k&n installed? Make sure it is sealed good any leaks will cause problems.

Clean the MAF and see if that helps. Those CAI's are known for gettin the hot wires on the MAF a little dirty from the oil used in the filters.

It didn't happen before the intake was installed which is why I think that's what it is. After installing it it ran fine for a few months until now. I'll spray some carb cleaner on it and see if it changes the idle because I'm sure it's effecting that too. Exhaust has been smelling leaner so it's probably the intake. Runs fine but I think I did notice a slight hesitation on acceleration yesterday. Gave it a shake for any obvious problems but it still fits solid. A problem like this definitely sounds like some filter oil might be gunked up on the MAF wires. Good advice

After you clean her, unplug the battery for 10 mins to reset the computer so it can adjust to the CAI.

If all else fails, put the oem air box back on the truck like chevrolet intended. Sometimes problems occur from cai's/short ram intakes. The power gains usually aren't very noticable, and they end up causing problems. Make sure every grommet on that cai is tight. With the truck running, listen for a vacumn leak also.
