Hi, I'm looking to buy a 2011 hd chev, and I'm torn between the 6.0 gas and the d-max. Is there anybody out there with a new 6.0 in 2011HDtruck? What kind of mileage do you get realistically, I've been told the d-max gets around 13L/100km highway. I want the HD looks without the extra $9600 the duramax option costs. If someone out there could give me some info that would be great!

 

ifs its anything like my sisters husbands truck it will get around 13 city 18 highway


but why not spend a little more and get a Dmax....

diesels last a hell of a long time (the engines break in at about 100,000 miles and if you treat it good you can easily push 700,000 out of it) and keep their worth in the long run

 

besides the fact that the 2011 duramax has the most power of any HD pickup!!
Mine doesn't count for the mileage yet as I only have <700 miles on it but today going too,.. empty and returning w/8700 lb trailer got ave 16.7 mpg on way there
15.2 on way back semi loaded (tow capacity 17,000lbs) 486 mi R/T I really do expect to get much better after rings seat and things smooth out, break in !!!
