Is there anyway to soften up the ride on a 04 2500 HD ?

 

might try a softer sidewall tire and keep tire pressure lower.

but these old trucks were designed to take a beating in the field, so they must have stiff suspensions.

my son works in the gas fields of AR, he was issued a new 06 2500, rode rough on most all but the best of roads, but the old truck helt up fine.

The new 09 model 1500 he was issued rides better and get much better mpg.
he is a eng supervisor so his truck is not out in the field as often as the line trucks.

out in the field they were breaking the frames on the 1500 model line trucks

its hard on a stuck truck when you have to pull it out with a track hoe.
