I have a 2001 Silverado 2wd. I noticed the other day that the cover on the inside of the steering knuckle is missing and the bearing is exosed. I have been to about 5 dealers and they can not find this part. Does anybody have any idea whe I can get this cover? thanks

 

I am not sure that they will ever be able to help you. The problem may lie in the fact that the unit is one piece on a whole. You cannot replace your bearings or even repack them. You have to replace the whole unit. I did this recently and had all 4 wheels done. It's sad when GM puts us is a no win possition.
