Default 2wd Lift Help

Hello, all. I'm a new user and have a tech question. I have a 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic (old body style) 2wd. I have done lifts and lowers on trucks and Jeeps before, but never on a 2wd vehicle. I bought a 4"/2" lift kit, and I don't think I have all of the parts. It has 4" spindles for the front, and 2" blocks for the back. Do I need anything else for the front? New ball-joints? New springs? New shocks all around (I assume?)? Do I need to do any crazy drive shaft adjustments like in a drop? Any advice or install tips would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You should have everything...when changing spindles you are able to use the factory shocks, ball joints, and springs. You are just moving the mounting location of your wheel and tires down to increase the ride height. Everything else should remain the same inlcuding the alignment. That is the great thing about spindles. In some cases the factory wheels won't work, but I think that is the older 88-mid99 trucks. You might want to check that on the newer trucks. In the rear you will most likely need longer U-Bolts with nuts and the blocks. With that small of a lift you should be OK with your driveshaft. It will wear out U-Joints faster than stock, but nothing to make it not worth doing. Good Luck!
