no, I think the only avail with the 5.3 is 3.42, 3.73, nd 4.10. The 3.23 is usually for small trucks and cars.

I'm kinda ticked off right now, had the dealer run my VIN to see what exact gearing I had. He came up with 3:23 on the computer!! The day I bought this truck the salesman swore to me it had 3:73's, I told him that was what I needed. Shoulda double checked myself I guess. Gonna call back tommorrow maybe he read it wrong. Anyone have any idea how much this'll affect towing/hauling after a 4in. lift and 33's?? Is putting different gears real expensive?

This doesn't sound right at all. Argon, could you check and see what gears he has? I highly doubt you have 3.23's. However, if you do have 3.23's yes, it will affect towing/hauling especially when you put a larger tire on.

It is not so much the gears that are expensive, it is the labor. So to answer your question, yes installing new gears are expensive ($1,000+).

[sm=WTFsgign.gif]I was just about to post this message when I found through research that the 07 does have a 3.23 ratio option!! Wow, this is (how can I say) RIDICULOUS!! However, is your truck 2WD? If so, I can see putting 3.23 gears in. You really don't need 3.73's and up, unless you are going to be towing/hauling and the 3.23's will give you better gas mileage as well. I'm sure Argon can hook it up and find out exactly what size gears you have. Hope you have 3.73's bro!

Alright my VIN# 1GCEC14VX7E168444. The truck is a 2wd but I do haul some pretty heavy loads sometimes. which is why I also paid a little more for the long bed. Thanks Argon
