hello i got a 1981 gmc sierra pickup and i was wondering if any one had any tips on how to replace my auto trany with a 4speed muncie

you should probably get a parts truck or go to a pull-a-part shop and get all the parts related with the clutch and transmission.
the tranny that you will need is call a Saginaw Muncie 465. look for the beel housing that fits this and it should bolt right up to your engine. you need the flywheel instead of the flex plate though.
