Default 454

1988 tbi 454 loads up at stop signs and idling. Cleans itself out after a short time at speed. Only thing I did was put in a lower temp thermostat cause it was meltingwires, plug boots, serpentine belt, etc.. Also this truck has trouble stopping when pulling trailer. Any upgrades out there ???
Thanks for your input.

As far as stopping, what kind of trailer are you towing? Does it have trailer brakes? If you want to upgrade the brakes on the truck Stainless Steel Brakes are decent quality and cheaper thanmost other systems. With aftermarket brakes you can go as cheap or expensive as you want.
