Exclamation 88 chevy engine problems

so my truck idles just fine. you go to get on the gas and it maxes out at 2500 rpm's. the distributor (complete), plugs, wires, coil , fuel filter, and injectors filters, have all been replaced. any idea what could be wrong.?

Not sure if it has one, but might check for a bad TPS.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor.......but how about your timing? is it right? or are you "180 degrees out"?

i had a 1994 suburban 5.7 litre non-vortec not sure how close it was to yours but mine did the same thing got few more rpms then u but idle fine and it turned out to be the fuel pump. always thought they would just quit but nope. changed it and like a whole new truck. my 2 cents
