88 speed gage not working

88 speed gage not working
1988 sierra speed gages is not working after engine replacement. New engine has intake & carburator and the garage throw into garbage a few electronics module because they sey they are not needed anymore. Wherespeed gages should be connected to work properly Please help!!!
