Oil gage

Default Oil gage

All right... my oil gauge has been bouncin around for the past week... i believe its for the oil temp... right or maybe the compression... either way its regular when idleing and when running it shoots all the way to max... is there a sensor i need to replace or ???? anyway appreciate any help thx...

I'm thinking it's probably a bad oil pressure sending unit. Could be the gauge is just bad but probably not. Usually the sending unit is something like $20ish if I remember correctly and also requires a special socket for removal which any parts store will carry. Good luck with it man.

also put a mechanical gauge on it, be sure the oil pressure is correct as low or no oil pressure will kill the engine faster than anything.

thanks.;.. ill swith out the oil pressure sending unit... but any nidea where its located at??????
