I need to find a replacement oil dipstick for my 1993 C1500 4.3 6 cyl engine. Changed oil and, yup, left it on the engine. Dip stick is discontinued (!). Found out it's 31 1/4 inches long, so I've fashioned an emergency stick from coat hanger, but I'd prefer an original. Any ideas where to find one? Any universal sticks recommended where I won't have to swap out the tube? Other better ideas than a coat hanger? Much obliged.

 

Look in the salvage yards. Otherwise call all the dealerships around or LMC Truck... That is my best advice.
