94 Gas/HP

RE: 94 Gas/HP
A mild chip, Throttle body spacer, heads (if they are in your budget), intake or at least a K&N filter, lower temp thermostat and exhaust system. If you do these things and drive normally (not lead foot) you'll increase your mpg. I think your truck has a MAF sensor. Clean the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Keep your truck tuned up, fluids changed and your tires inflated and you should be good to go. These mods I started with on my 91' with a 305. City driving was about the same but there was somewhere between a 1 to 2 mpg increase on the highway before I put heads on it. Lets just put it this way, I would cruise 70-80 (in the hilly areas of Western PA) and it would never downshift meaning better mpg to begin with.

I have flowmaster 1-in-2-out exhaust system already and now im looking at tbs. i see a couple different brands and im not sure if it really makes a difference which one i get because it just looks like a machined block of aluminum.the ones i keep finding are airaid, poweraid, and electronic performance. Also any suggestions on where to get them cheap?
