I am replacing the intake gasket, and have removed everything visible to take the intake off, but am having trouble getting it to come off. I can slide the intake around on the block, but it feels like there is a lip that I cant get past. I havent removed the distributer, but it doesnt seem to be a part of the problem since i can move the intake in all four directions, except off. Any advice?

 

its hanging on the valve cover lips...remove at least 1

 

I had that same problem with the 318 in the Charger I had, LOL! Was frustrating as heck.
