Does this recall cover 2005 Silverado? My ABS and Brake dash light came on and I "field tested" the brakes thay worked fine. Its below zero and when I checked the brake fluid after I came home the light went off? Sounds like a senor is messed up.

I have a 2000 silverado 1500 with the flashing light syndrome also. I replaced all the brake lines several weeks ago due to rust. Yesterday the ABS light, Brake light and now the 4WD lights are coming on and going off. I DONT HAVE 4WD. The brake fluid is fine. ABS seems to work fine. and I dont find a front drive train. There is no rhyme or reason to the flashing. Trust me I recorded it and watched it back on my phone. Nothing when stopped. Just when moving. The next thing I will check is the wheel sensors. Any ideas or solutions? I hope I can fix anything.

My son's truck has the ABS/Brake light on too. We checked the parking brake by unplugging it and the light started blinking. We then checked the brake fluid sensor by unplugging it and the light went off. We believe it's a bad sensor. Does anyone else's truck have this same issue?

Christina GM Customer Service My brother suggests that one of the front wheel hub monitor being bad. The computer doesnt see the wheel turning so it turn off the ABS system. That triggers the light. Since there is a series of lights flashing at different times I can imagine the computer trying to reset and monitor the wheels |
can i post the vin via e-mail?

EBCM Bad solder joints
it could also be the solder joints inside the EBCM Relay under the drivers side door in the inside of the frame rail. The solder joints were pooly done from factor and have a tendency to loose connection momentarily which will throw the codes but when you turn the truck off and on again it will reset since the connection is stable again.
Resolder the joints in the relay. Search you tube for Silverado Relay Fix |
