sometimes when i brake my brake pedal goes stiff and it wont brake good and then locks on on side and pulls that way. then my ABS light comes on. when my abs light is on my brakes are fine no pulling or anything. when its not on they lock and almost didnt even stop one day . Then today my brake light came on along with my ABS light. ive looked and looked and no results on where to state looking for a fix.

If the base brakes are working fine with a good pedal and even stopping you're halfway there. If the ABS light has come on, and goes off with each key cycle that would suggest a soft code for something like a wheel speed sensor issue. The red brake light suggests a base brake problem though. There are a couple things that can turn it on. Service info is important when tracking down the problems, along with a scanner that is bi-directional (can operate ABS components remotely) to pull out codes to direct you to the circuit or components that might be at fault.
All the Big 3 have had a few issues with wheel speed sensors in the front. A thin layer of rust can form under the sensor that lifts it slightly. This affects the WSS signal and can be misinterpreted as a need for an abs stop. If the signal gets too out of line, it will turn on the ABS light. Removing the rust under the sensor and reinstalling them is the GM fix for this issue....unless the sensor is stuck.

Sounds like you know what you're talking about.

I just had the ABS control module rebuilt on my 02 1500 Silverado. When I got it back and put it on, I drove about 10 miles and both the ABS and brake light came on. When I turn the engine off, they go away. When I restart all seems fine until I go about 10 miles and the lights reappear.

I tested the resistance across the hyd motor and get .3 ohms. This is within tolorance I am told.

I also replaced a bad left front wheel sensor and now both sensors read the same resistance.

Any suggestions.
