Default ABS Relay

1999 GMC SIERRA 4.3 4WD AUTO
The abs module failed. Computer code said it was bad I had it rebuilt.
This is the second one that has failed. The first one I paid GMC $895.00 for theirs. The rebuilds are supposed to be far superior and at way less cost. My rebuild cost $188.00.
My mechanic installed it and now the computer code states that the abs relay is bad.
My mechanic (20 years GMC certified) cannot find this relay. None of the schmatics he has makes any reference to the relay. I cannot find any thing on the web. He has all the computer updates. Diagrams, etc.
Does anyone know where the ABS Relay on this baby might be located
Thanks

Why do you say it is cheaply rebuilt? All Kelsey Hayes can do is make one that will last no longer than 4 years or so. I put approx 7500 miles a year on the truck and the cost of a new one at a GM dealer is just shy of $1K. If you have dealt with the rebuilts before believe me I do appreaciate the advice and have learned a lesson about these rebuilts. What is really discouraging is that the ABS units are built here in the U S of A and supposed to be a cut above. Of course the rebuilders claim that the components they use are american made and roughly 30% heavier duty.
Anyway thanks for the input and the location of the relay. Live and learn.

most of those modules go bad DUE TO THE RELAY INSIDE....bad design, pure and simple

and fwiw..yes,they are insanely high...200 bucks would be plenty for that part.
