Default AC belt

I was going to take off my AC belt today, because average temp. around here is 30, but once i started looking at it, seemed like a real pain in the *** to do. Has anybody done it and seen any good results?

You should have one serpentine belt, so eliminating that pully from the loop is probably not a good idea. Along with that, the ac compressor periodically turn on and off to circulate the system to help prevent loss of the freon. You can dissconnect the pump to stop the circulation, but that will not elliminate the pully from turning.

If the average temperature there is 30 who gives a crap if it has refrigerant in it?! LOL! I say whip a pocket knife out and say bye-bye to it.

I'm pretty sure the 4.8's have a seperate belt as well.... It's onthe passenger side by the crank pulley.
