Default AC problems

Its getting hot and time for AC.. A few Sundays ago I charged it up and she cooled good. We rode around several hours and it was cold air. I got up the next morning going to work and nothing. The compressor wouldn't kick on , nothing. I haven't had time to play with it again until today. I bought a couple cans of 134 and some dye. I can not get it to take freon at all. The compressor wouldn't kick on so I jumped the low pressure switch. It kicked on but still will not take freon and just blows hot air.. the local AC shop told me they would trouble shoot it for 30 bucks including checking for leaks. I'm guessing that is what I'm going to do but thought maybe somebody here might have an idea? Its a 97 GMC Sierra with a 350.

oh and on my gauges I'm getting no pressure on the high side. Could the high pressure switch be bad?

could be a bad high pressure switch...but lets get some info first...........what was the pressure on the low and high side after you filled it(with the compressor on)? How about the orfice tube? Do you show low side pressure but no High side?.....did you put the system under a vac to check for leaks and to clean any moisture out?
