Question Aftermarket Exhaust Brands?

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab Short Bed (New Body Style), and I am in the market for a new cat-back exhaust system. I have been searching but really can't find any decent reviews for the brands i have been looking at. I have narrowed it down to five brands and i have their product numbers and rough price quotes. Which one do you suggest is the best one to go with. Here are the brands, product numbers and their prices:
Brand Prod.# Price
========================= ======= =========
Corsa Performance Exhaust #14197 - $1,141.95
Magnaflow Exhaust #16741 - $589.16
Gibson Performance Exhaust #65627 - $594.95
Flowmaster #17440 - $414.95
Borla #140232 - $910.99

Did you check LMC truck? I got their CAT back exhaust and it worked out perfectly for me. No complaints for $299

Don't you have a decent muffler shop around you? I just put a cat back on a 1998 Chevy Tahoe with a flowmaster for $225.00 installed.

Does that truck have the fuel management system to shut off 4 cylinders? If it does then your not gonna like it on the highway. Lol its gonna sound wierd when it goes to 4 cylinders.

I never thought of that. I bet it would. They should have made that to where you could turn it off.

Actually from all the research i did, the only companies that took the AFM into consideration when they designed the exhaust systems are Corsa and Borla, the two expensive ones. they say that they designed so it wouldn't sound terrible on the highway during cruising speeds when the 4 cylinders are turned off.

Default Heard a couple of trucks with the Flowmasters

Well I went on youtube and heard a few trucks with the Flowmasters on and they sounded awesome but because of the 4 cyl. deactivation mode it sound like a helicopter while cruising on the highway.

The best sounding muffler for the 5.3L in my opinion would be the Dynomax Super Turbo..usually around $50-$70...quiet at idle and low cab noise when normal driven but sounds great when you want it to. You can hear sound clips on youtube.

Cool Corsa exhaust

Hey guys, I recently installed a Corsa Dual under bumper exhaust on my 2007 Crew Cab SLT 6.0L (new body style). I went with the "Sport" version which is more aggressive than the "Touring" and I really like it. No drone in the cabin, just a nice growl while cruising. And 4 cyl mode is NOT annoying at all. I've heard that it can be over-bearing with some exhausts. Installation was outstanding. Everything fit right and the hardware (clamps, etc..) are the best I've ever seen in a kit. If you have any questions or want me to post a video/sound clip, just let me know. I can even give you the website I ordered it from and saved about $350 from the lowest price I could find. Great, helpful guys there too. By the way, you can't go wrong with a completely stainless system (even the hardware).

Thats cool man! I've heard some stories bout how the 4 cyl. sounds with it and they say it sounds like crap. Maybe you have just a smooth deep little tone. I have no cats and 3 inch piping(from the factory).
