Ya know now that I think about it that could be the reason that I was getting 11mpg out of a 3.0 V6. God what a gas hog that thing was.

 

Now that is some **** gas mileage! My wifes Jeep doesn't get much better! We own a 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the 4.0L I-6 and it gets about 14mpg in town. My damn truck is better on gas!

 

Hey if anybody is interested, I have a K+N drop in filter for a 05' silverado that you can have for the cost of shipping. I used it 1 year then got the CAI. I didn't notice much difference, but if anybody wants it let me know. I also have the cleaning kit for it for the same deal.

 

That should fit an '02 airbox right?

It should fit just fine.

 

The 3.0's were horrible on mpg's, the 4.0's were much better.
