Default Airaid Intake

Has anyone installed an Airaid intake on a 6.0L Chevy HD (or any other vehicle)? I'm thinking about getting one, but wondered if it's worth the money or not.

Default RE: Airaid Intake

The Primary difference with the Airaid and the K&N is the breather tube. The Airaid goes over the top of the fan shroud, going from round to a flatter yet no more restrictive manner than K&Ns round tube. They both flow 400cfm-500cfm more than stock. The filaments are near identical. The one add-on that may take advantage of the above and over Airaid tube is if you should add a VorteX TB Spacer (which I highly recommend doing). The 3/4" that it adds sends the K&N round tube into the fan blades unless you cut it back at TB mouth. The Airaid would just move forward the 3/4" more over fan shroud requiring zero alterations. If you go the extra step and go to Flex-a-Lite Fans and remove the Fan/Clutch and shroud as I did, you could use either intakes with spacer and an 80mm TB from BBK. The Fan conversion itself adds 10-12 hp and 3-4mpg.
Hope that helps
