How the heck do I get the airbag off to pull the steering wheel on my 2002 silverado?
I have the collar upper and lower column covers off
I was able to remove the 2 screws that hold the upper cover under steering wheel (actually lower cover of steering wheel to see bottom of airbag.
But now I can not see how the air bag is remove from this point,
is it clipped or bolted (no way to get underneath this thing to unhook the airbag?
Maybe its just clipped and Im missing it
Please help

RE: airbag #$##%%$^&
no need to remove the covers..look onthe covers...2 small holes...you stick a pick in there and release a tab..
I highly reccomend getting a detailed book and learning the airbaG DISABLE PROCEDURE AND safety precautions...it';ll take your head off

I had the pleasure Of watching my friend punch himself in the face when the one in his Saturn went off. He had his hand out to block it if it did go off, and when it did it pushed his hand got himself right in the eye.
