The riflehunt here in Utahstarted Oct 20 and ended 5 days later on the 24. This year we seen two small two points and nice three point but it was about 600 yards away and my friends .270 just wasnt up to that kind of shot. Cross canyon looking at a mule deer is a shot for a little bit bigger of a gun. If i would have seen it my 7mm RUM would have easily made the shot. But i probley would have still passed it up for a bigger one. Because here in Utah you only get one deer a season.

Three seasons ago i shot a 30 inch wide 3x4 at about 150 or so yards away. and itwaighed about 300 pounds field dresses.

sence that year i havnt shot anything. but my same friend shot a 25 inch 4x4 the next year about 200 yards from were is shot my big deer and the next year after that he shot a small 3x3. so he has had some luck the past few years.

Next year im going to hopefully draw a tag for the bow hunt. I hope i can get that.

Parts of South Carolina have no limit on bucks till January 1st. When I was up there this past weekend you didn't need a gun. Just drive down 301 first thing in the morning and pick up the fresh ones. There were dead doe everywhere.

Deer hunter here, although I've not killed a deer this year yet. I did kill a hog with my bow a few weeks ago

I do have a 150 class trophy Tennessee deer on the wall. I'll try and get the picture up.
