Bad leaf spring squeek.
I've got yet another squeek, this time my leaf springs are squeeking quite loudly whenever the suspension goes up and down. It's not the bushings at theend but the areas where the individual leafs clamp together. Can I lube them somehow, or do I need to replace them?
I've got the same problem. Annoying as all get out! I'm fat but I know my rear springs aren't squeeking cause I'm too heavy or anything. Heck I've pulled 5-6,000lbs loads behind me so....
Wonder if there is actually a correct way to resolve this issue.

It's been just a slightly noticable honk whenever they would compress or release, but since I went camping last weekend I loaded her down with no more than 600lbs and it was makin all kinds of noises. Ill try the white lithium but who knows, leaf springs arent cheap.
try spray graphite: I keep a can in shop and use it for everything.
The spray will take the graphite to the trouble spots then the propellant will flash off leaving a lubed surface.
Graphite will lube and not attract dirt like oil/grease.

dryphite
I am sure local auto stores can order it.

I know O'reilly Auto Parts stocks graphite lube but I don't think we have it in aerosol form. Pretty sure it's just in tubes..... I'm gonna look for that and probably try it on my truck.
