Default Banks Monster vs. Magnaflow cat back

I am a newb to the forum and have tried to find an answer to the current question of mine, but still slightly confused. I've got a 99 single cab short bed. And i plan on chenging out the exhaust system soon, but i am iffy on which system would be better. im lookin for performance, but also a nice sound when i step on it. I want to either get the Banks Monster dual exhaust with slight modding to fit the bed size, or a Magnaflow Cat Back exhaust. I've read up on them both and it seems banks would be better for performance but im not sure. Any suggestions will help. Thanks a lot.

Not much help here, they both make good products. I think it's a toss up.

Out of the 2, I would go with the Magnaflo catback system. To me the Banks goes with Diesel engines. Plus you got to modify it too as you mentioned. Or you could go with a Flowmaster system... that seems to be the most popular and you can go to a muffler shop and save a bit of money with a Flowmaster being installed. Now it will not be a catback system, but would you really notice the difference unless you are running times at the track.

Go magnaflow. Click on HEAR IT for a sound sample of ur truck...http://www.magnaflow.com/... I have had Flowmaster and then I went to MAgnaflow and could tell a difference. More acceleration with Magnaflow. The Flowmaster will give it great sound.

I also like my Magnaflows. But I have a true dual set-up. So, mine is different. (Not special, just different)
