When redoing a bench seat (1989 chevy truck) do they replace the whole cushion or is it possible to fix just part of it. My seat is contoured. The only place the cushion is kinda bad it where you slide in on the drivers side

 

I beleive that you have to replace the whole cushion, and last time I looked, they weren't cheap... Like $400 for a new one!!

What I would do is buy a nice seat cover, then stuff it nicely so that you are comfortable. Just a suggestion... I'm a little cheap

 

the cushion is in real good shape..just the one spot is a little low.

 

Check out LMCtruck.com... It's a great site and their catalogs keep me entertained for a long time I beleive thats where I saw the cushions. Other than that, you can always try a junkyard and just pull an entire seat or swap out cushions... I'm not quite sure how hard it is to replace

 

i took the seat out today. the damage part of the cushion looks to be a separated piece from the entire cushion so i might be in luck

 

Alright, It's interesting to see how they go together. My truck has the same interior and if I ever needed to take it apart, it would come in handy. Keep us updated!
