I have a late model 99 silverado, short bed, reg cab, 4x4, 5.3l truck. what would be the best flow master series to put on my truck?

 

If you're young and don't care about the neighbors, get 40's. If you're old and socially responsible get the 70's.

"What's the best series" is too broad a question. What sounds great to one owner is obnoxious to another. Do your best to listen to exhaust installed on other trucks and find one you like.

 

like the guys before me said it depends on who you are to what sounds good but if it was me personally i would go with the super 44. i also know that a dynomax ultra flo sounds really good on that motor.

 

i got the 5.3 as well and i got the flows 40 series with glasspacks. they make me smile when i start my truck...im in college so my neighbors dont care haha

Also remember that the longer the pipes, the more quiet they are.

Anyone know the stock exhaust diameter for a 2000 5.3L

 

Simple the 40 series with cats. Or the 44 without cats.both are great sounding and last a long time.
