i think im going to try the engine oil bypass... anybody think there will be long term effects on my engine?

I wouldn't use "long term" and "oil bypass" in the same discussion. It would be more like Start > Rev > Boom! Lol. (And thats if you actually get it to start).

Matter of fact, do these trucks still have that safety thing where the oil pressure needs to be so high in order to start? I think my 91' did. Like if there was no pressure, it wouldn't start.

i had a buick that did that too. what a pia it leaked about a 1/4 quart a day!
