I put mine in it took me about 5 minutes to find it. Its on the passenger side under the glove box. It took 1 minute to install its a plug

So is that what is causing the switch to over heat or whatever it is doing? I am curious now! If I replaced this relay that you speak of, that would fix the problem that is making the switch go bad?

If the switch itself is going bad that's another issue entirely. I don't think that's waht my problem is. Then again, I can't say for sure since I haven't tried anything to fix it. My position 1 doesn't work, and it hasn't annoyed me enough to bother trying to fix it. The resistor is only about $25. If I get around to getting one this weekend I'll let you all know if it fixes my problem.

Sound like I have some work to do...and since it is 70 here today (sorry all you people in the north) I think I am going to look at both the resister and the switch and see if I can find and connection between the two I will report back when Im done
