Default Bolting down sub box in 92

Hi I have a 92 silverado short bed and was wondering how to bolt down a subwoofer box behind the seat.

Materials?
Location?
Pretty much some Do's and Do nots.

Thanks much appreciated

I wouldn't even worry about bolting it down unless you are doing it as a security thing. The seat will hold the box in place. I personally hate drilling holes into my truck. You may be able to use the bolts that holds the rear tray/jack holder in place if you are good at measuring. If not a few self tapping screws through the rear of the cab will hold it. Just make sure they are long enough to go through the box and cab, but not too long where they will touch or go through the bed. I had a friend that mounted an amp and the screws just made contact with the bed and it made an awful scratching sound going down the road. Good luck!

yes its more of a security measure. Thanks for the tips. I was thinking about self tapping screw into the bottom of the box screwed to the floor (may not be a good idea?) so you are thinking I should just go right the the back of the box into the rear of the cab?

thanks in advance

I think going through the back with a few will be sufficient for sure. There is less back there than underneath to accidently screw into.

On my 90 model I just taped out the existing screw holes that held in the jack and tray and bolted the box there as stated above. Then reinstalled the speakers in the box and wa la.
