Do I correctly infer from that that Major Silva and his ruggedly handsome lumberjack-type owner falls short of a real truck/real man dichotomy?

Let me turn that over in my head for a while.

im probably gettin my hands on an 87 GMC just like yours... the first thing i want to do to it is put the bucket seats in there. and then get a custom made center console with a 12" sub in it!
my buddy did it to his 85 and it looks awesome! he was actually in truckin magazine and they loved it!

in regards to the centre console thing.... what do you guys think i should do for a finish on the console?? my buddys is stained wood.. kinda cool but not so much... i was thinking a leater look like the newer trucks! what do you guys think?

oh... by the way! 1985chevy... dont go with those boom tube subs! they are ****! get some truck rider boxes made or make them your self and use rockford p3 shallow mount subs. they are a little $$$ but they will sound alot better than those boom tube and last alot longer too! they will fit perfectly behind the seat of your truck... and if you go with the bucket seats you will have all kinds of room!

keep us updated! i want to see what kinds of things are going to come up when you install these! what kind of equipment do you think you will need to do this?

All man I have no idea about the equipment. I'm going to have to make brackets from scratch. But for now i will use the bass tube, just untill i make more money. I am buying a roll bar this weekend so that will be a big expense. So it's hard to tell when i can by new subs.

Id make it out of sheet metal kind of keep the look and paint it the same color as the interior.

I think buckets are a great idea. I dont know if I would go with racing seats but just regular old buckets will be way better than that stupid bench!
