Default Buying a truck with a Salvaged Title

I am looking at this 2002 Silverado Extended Cab to buy.

This vehicle HAD front end damage, and is now repaired. Because of this this is a cash deal. The owner wants $9995 for this truck. What are the pitfalls in purchasing this truck? If this truck turns out to have all of the ammenities, what should I be looking out for in this truck. The last thing I want is to have problems later down the road. My biggest worry is that since this truck did have front end damage before, it is certain that there was Air Bag deployment. How can I tell if these were replace properly?

Thanks,

GMAN

Usually buying a vehicle that has a salvaged title means that the vehicle has been considered totaled by insurance companies. Usually it will cost more than 60% to 70% of vehicle retail price.
You can try to find the history of the vehicle by the vin number. Contacting the previous owner or finding out who rebuilt the truck. The more time you spend on checking out the vehicle the better off you are. But look around to see if the price is competitive.
Look up the blue book value and everything else.
