Default A/C question

On my 04 Z71 the A/C works in defrost only.WhenI push the buttons on thecontrol panel it shows the different zones (face and floor) but the air only comes out at the window. The fan work right and the temp is also good. Im guessing that it is a vacuum problem holding the defroster openbut dont know. Any help would help before I take it somewhere.

probably either a motor or actuator for the defrost to vent selector.

I guess I am lucky with my 1990 1500. The dash controls are all mechanical. The old slide the lever deal.

Still have all the original parts but last year the check valve quit. About $75.00 installed. Compressor still going strong. Nice cold freon too.

yeah I did it. The dealership wanted 200$ plus parts, forthey said 2.5 hours oflador. The tech told me it was only a45 min or so job and showed me whatI needed to do.
