Can I beat a Hemi Ram?

Titan? Come on.....I've smoked em.A buddy of mine owned one, and it bored me to ride with him. He thought it was fast, until we took a ride in my truck.... Back to back, he could probably pull me, but he definately couldn't outrun me.
Tundra? Who know's? Sounds fast, but looks like a cross between a Ford and a Dodge...Neither of which appeal to me, JMO though!

The 2001 SVT F-150 Lighting is another leap over the 1999-2000 model. Today's truck can do 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds and finish the quarter-mile at 100 mph in 13.9 seconds. And we can assure you, those 13.9 seconds go by very fast indeed.
Uhuh... so unless your pulling better than high 13s or even low 14s then Id believe your dumb *** mr 1fast4x4.

No SC, but it does have DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder and a 4.10 gear in it.
It is faster out of the hole, due to the gearing. Gear an '07 GM 6.0 the same and see what the outcome is, they are BARELY slower than the Tundra, with SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder. I'll give it to ya, a Tundra is quicker in factory trim (if you know how to use it)....but not enough to write home about. Besides, at the stoplight....while you're trying to turn off your traction control, the GM will already be gone.

If you are referring to the video link that you posted....I think it is biased, as much so as the tundra pulling the F-150 around. It sure looked to me like the silverado wasn't running to it's potential for a modded version. IDK, though...I'm just a poor Missouri boy without alot of performance experience, lol.
I'll agree with you on the development issues. Maybe Toyota spending a billion dollars to develop a decent ride will further inspire GM to spend a little to get back on top.

And that's what competition is all about! We will all reap the benifits of Toyota's billions they spent to up the bar. Toyota's my be on top for now, but i don't expect GM to lay back for long. It's not hard to see the public wants 60's muscle again along with mpg and reliability, and are willing to pay for it. Toyota finally added the muscle part and it's really catching on! The rest will take notice or end up with chryslers problems. I hope GM is the one to make it! As for biased vids, i can tell you that the Tundra's have to be stock as their are no real mods out for them yet. Math would say the most hp and torque with a 4.30 rear and broadest power curves connected to six speeds would win wouldn't it?
Wow talk about sleeping on the line... Btw lightning posts up high to mid 13s if driven right. Its all about driver which I can tell was asleep in right lane in that vid lol. Good time though for that truck though it isnt truely a lightning beater stock.
Change the pully on the Lightning and you'd really be ****ting on the Tundra.

Yes, the 5.4SC motor is nice and really good with a pulley swap. But, is that's what's needed to wax a stock truck. What happens when a TRD- SC becomes available for the new 5.7L Toyota? Just putting a performance tire on the Tundra like a lightening runs would help even the score. I personally would never own a two wheel drive anyway so lightenings and SRT10's aren't an option for me.
