Hello , I have bought a 2009 silverado hd lt1 . It has everything I want except the brake controller . Price was real good and timing wasnt ,so I couldnt wait to seek one out . I want to install my own in there from the factory. The salesman are clueless on these topics,and say whatever it takes ,but he doesnt know. From what I see that part of the dash is removable and will have to be replaced with the one that has the reserved recessed spot for the controller .It doesnt seem like a big deal. just wonder if it can be simply installed (plugged in to a computer) and will show up on the headsup display on the speedometer . Does anyone have some insight here? I dread installing my prodigy on the dash somewhere ......Thank you
