cb install for anyone that might be interested
here is how i did my cb install on my 2001 gmc 2500 hd
i removed the over head console which comes out with one screw and a sharp pull. the side pillar just pulls off. drilled 1 hole in the back of the overhead console for the wiring to run threw. soldered all conections and then warped in e tape. had to take the headliner loose enough to get the wires threw even then had to use a coat hanger to pull them. ran them down the pillar and power into the fuse box and used a fuse tap. only thing i have left to do now is figure out where and how i want to clip my mic, I'm going to run it as is for a bit and see where will work best.
total probably took me about 2 hours im very happy with the install, other than how the mic cord hangs but im not sure where and how i want to hang it yet so its just dangling for now.
