My Cd player keeps on screwing up in my 04 Z71. It is the 6 disc changer with boze system. And every now and then when you select cd it won't read just flashes at you and sometimes says "initializing". Is there a cure for this or are there any after market systems that also work with the steering wheel controls??

 

There are some after market units that will work. I prefer Alpine. The steering wheel control adapter is seperate. Pioneer is also a great choice with the same options. I would just do that then mess with the factory, even though it is Bose. New units nowadays sound really good compared to back then.
